FAQs

What can we look forward to when visiting Sanguis?

We provide an extensive private tour of our winery production space and cellar, followed by a sit-down tasting around our farmhouse table. Often you will have the opportunity to speak with the winemaker. Please allow approximately an hour to an hour and a half for your tour and tasting.

Can we buy wine / will you help us coordinate shipping?

Absolutely! We reserve a small percentage of our spring and fall releases for visitors at the winery. Those are all available for purchase, and most can be carried out. We are also happy to facilitate shipping.

What are library wines?

These are all of our wines from previous vintages that we have reserved for the purpose of tracking their progress as they age. Library wines that are featured are also available for purchase. However, given the scarcity, only in limited quantities.

Why do we need a reservation to visit the winery?

As a very small production winery, we don't make enough wine to have a public tasting room. The quality of your visit is as important to us as the quality of the wine! To provide you with the most personal and best experience, we conduct tours and tastings on an appointment only basis.

Any recommendations for restaurants, hotels or activities in Santa Barbara?

We are happy to help with any of the above! Just give us a call at 805-845-0920.

Are kids welcome to visit the winery?

We're a family business and love kids! (yes)

Is there parking?

Street parking is available in the couple of blocks surrounding the winery, but can be scarce. In either case, since you'll be tasting wine, we recommend ├╝ber-ing or Lyft-ing it if you're staying local.

What's up with the doorbell?

Just give it a yank. We'll be right out!

What is your cancelation policy?

In most instances, we respect Tock's cancelation policy. However, we are reasonable people! Should you not be able to visit, we will refund your tasting fee if given 24 hours notice.

Have additional questions?

If you have additional questions about Tock or your reservation, please visit the Tock help page.
